Piano Concerto n°1 in E flat Major
Piano Concerto n°2 in A Major
Hungarian Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra




These are very interesting recordings of the Liszt Piano Concerti and Hungarian Fantasy by Arthur de Greef who was a student of Franz Liszt and is reported to have received instruction from Liszt himself on how to play the E flat Major concerto. This 1920 recording of the first Liszt concerto, thought to be the first complete recording of the work, is with the Royal Albert Hall Orchestra conducted by Sir Landon Ronald.

This 1930 recording of the Liszt Piano Concerto N°2 in A Major was made by Arthur de Greef with Sir Landon Ronald conducting the London Symphony Orchestra.

The concerto is in four sections and was recorded in three parts.



i. Adagio Sostenuto Assai - Allegro Agitato Assai
ii. Allegro Animato
iii. Allegro Deciso - Marziale Un Poco Meno Allegro
iv. Allegro Moderato

This is a 1926 recording of the Hungarian Fantasy made by Arthur de Greef with Sir Landon Ronald conducting the London Symphony Orchestra.
